More On the World

hello once again tobey..

i hung out with sushi tonight..! we watched 'swimfan'. we heard from everyone else that it was a bad movie, but you know us. we had to confirm that for ourselves.. and we found that fact to be false..! well, to us anyway. i throughly enjoyed it! (the whole time, beneath my own breath.. muttering 'i hate this guy!!' and waving my disapproving fingers at him.) this quote totally refreshed my aged memory of why it is i hate guys anyway. i wanted to puke and KILL this character! but i still think jesse bradford is totally cute. :) heh heh. i mean, him and his g/f were so in love, and he had to go do this.. i mean. i know it's obvious that she seduced him. but he totally gave into it! yeah, i guess he put in a little effort to stop it, but NOT REALLY. he thought with his *ahem* lower half of his body, and not his mind. and i really felt that girl's pain in the movie. esp the restraunt scene. geez.. brought back some old memories..! anyways... i really liked the movie, but it's not really a movie to be watched twice in my opinion. atleast, i couldnt watch it twice.

i think i shall continue my thoughts for what i was saying about the end of the world. you remember don't you? in general, i was just saying that the human species will just wipe itself out. i dont remember if i said this in my other entry, but i think that the world's population needs to be controlled. because we've come so far ahead in technology, we've learned how to live longer and even choose between death and life (in some circumstances). i mean.. we're really getting huge..! the worlds population is increasing more and more every year. and what are we doing about it? NOTHING. i think we should be like china, where each family can only have one child per family. in fact, every country should be like this. this isn't a issue that needs to be discussed in families. it's an world issue. it's everyone's problem because more people mean more resources being used up. and it seems like less and less people care about saving these resources. i mean, none of my friends recycle much of anything. they don't even use the trash can! the world is their litterbox. i know that a lot of ppl think that one person isn't going to make a difference, especially when it seems like everyone else litters just as much, and no one asks them to stop. i know because i used to be one of those ppl. one of those ppl who would throw their coke cans right next to the trash can, but never actually IN one. i didn't care..! i had bigger problems (or so i thought), my problems consisted mainly of old boyfriends, broken hearts, raging parents, getting a car..! those sorts of things. those sorts of very selfish things. but i mean, what does all that matter when eventually... all this will lead to is the cause of our end? we wont even EXIST to have those stupid petty problems..! oh, back to the one person thing.. but really. one person makes ALL this difference. i mean, if everyone thought that way.. "i'm only one person, what do i matter?" in a sense, yeah.. they are right. one person isn't much. but if everyone started to think that way, where would this world go? the world would literally become a trash can in just a few weeks, months. my thought is that you're either helping of you're only making it worse. for me, im interested in fixing problems. not making them worse. one other thing i've realized about people is.. not only are they selfish, but they are also extremely lazy. all this technology has really brought us down. people are aware of the problems, but they like to think that other people will take care of it so that they don't have to do anything. but in reality, it's EVERYONE'S responsibility. it's not just the enviromentalists's responsibility to help keep the earth clean. it's not only 33% of the worlds population that is enough to keep us alive. it's every single person that walks this earth. everyone has a responsiblity to this earth. i mean, we all live on it don't we? maybe not by choice... but hell.. i say to those ppl. if you say you had no choice to be here, and that's why you dont want to keep it clean. seriously, go jump off a bridge. you don't have to be here. no one's forcing you to stay. good riddance! maybe that's a bit mean. but hey. i know i can't force anyone to change. i could really write so much more on this. but i know its gonna be wayy too long. i also wanted to write about the ozone layer, animals, the whole cycle of the food chain.. but.. i'm kinda sleepy.. see tobey? this is one of the reasons i want to do enviromental studies as a major. i want to do something useful with my life. something that has a purpose. i realized that i love animals and that i love them dearly. but being a vet has no purpose. helping sich animals get better doesn't help much. there are tons more dogs and cats that are waiting for homes in shelters. and those dogs and cats. etc. that are dying of disease, and sickness.. don't you see that they are dying from a MAN MADE disease, created by puppy mills? (most of the time) genetic diseases.. created by humans. dog BREEDS were created by humans. it's all so unnatural. and i really DO love ALL dogs. but helping those animals get better.. doesn't give homeless dogs homes, it doesn't make the puppy mill breeders stop their inbreeding. theres no purpose to it. i dont know if i make sense right now.. but thats my thoughts.. for right now. i'd better go to bed before i fall outta this chair. good night..
