An "Eye For an Eye" and We'd All Be Blind
May 21, 2004 at 9:01 p.m.
Hi you.

I just watched 'Shrek 2' with my friend I haven't seen in FOREVER, Danny! It's kind of a long story of how our group came undone.. but it was very nice to hang out with him because I hadn't seen him in such a long long time. Things have changed SO much, and yet.. they haven't changed a bit. I'm not quite sure how to explain how much time can change things, and then.. NOT change things. It made me sad though, to think about everything that we all went through, and the outcome of it all. I wish that people could put down their pride and say those simple words, "I'm sorry".

Nobody is perfect, we all make our fair share of mistakes.. right? (Yes.) So, wouldn't you want to be forgiven for those mistakes? Mistakes that you knew were wrong...? (Yes, but are you always forgiven for all of your mistakes? No.) No, but if the world were an "eye for an eye", we'd all be blind. That is my take on forgiveness. Every time you get a chance to forgive somebody, PLEASE do it, because it doesn't come around as often as it should.. I mean, you should only genuinely forgive, if you genuinely mean it.. I hope this longing to be free stays in everyone's heart and mind.. Remember that anger is only temporary insanity. What you say when you're upset, won't correlate with what you feel when the storm has weathered past. Think about how silly these misgivings will be 1 year from now. 5 years from now.. 20 years from now! Think of how much our lives will have changed.. think of the people you want to remain at your end. Are all those little spats, big fights, small white lies, all of these arguements... are they worth it? To loose the people that you love and care about? These people that love you? If there was even a speck of real genuine friendship... please learn how to forgive, and you will learn how to be free.

01. Free your mind from worries.

02. Exhaust your heart from hatred.

03. Live simply.

04. Give more.

05. Expect less.

Just think about it.
